Musikmesse Frankfurt is where professionals from all continents and segments of the music business meet every year. The health regulations and restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic led to the cancellation of the 2020 edition, creating an unprecedented pause and a change of the fair’s timetable. Abandoning its traditional April schedule, the next Musikmesse will take place from 22 to 24 October 2021 instead. As a result, the Musikmesse 2021 dates will coincide with the world-famous Frankfurt Book Fair (20 to 24 October). According to Messe Frankfurt GmbH’s official statement, Musikmesse will retain its independent status - despite the earlier media reports - and the cooperation with THE ARTS+ within the frame of Frankfurt Book Fair.
At Musikmesse 2021 visitors will have the opportunity to explore pianos and keyboards, drums and percussion instruments, electric guitars, basses, woodwind and brass instruments. Sheet music, acoustic guitars, stringed and harmonica instruments will be available as well. Musikmesse Plaza, the new Home of Drums area and Festival Arena and Street Food Festival will captivate the audience’s attention.
