FI Europe was first organised in 1986 in Maarsen, the Netherlands. Fi Europe (which stands for Food Ingredients Europe) is an annual professional meeting of the food industry. It is hosted in Messe Frankfurt, Germany. Currently, the FI Global Network spans 5 continents, hosting annual editions in Europe, Africa, Asia, South and North America. The trade show takes place alongside the Health Ingredients Europe exhibition, also known as Hi Europe.
