The annual exhibition of The European Fine Art Foundation (TEFAF) in Maastricht is widely regarded as the premier hub for fine art, antiques and design. After converting to an online edition in 2021 due to the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, TEFAF Maastricht 2022 will return to the halls of the Maastricht MECC between 12 – 20 March with invitation-only days on 10 - 11 March. The event will celebrate TEFAF’s 35th anniversary and adopt a hybrid format.
TEFAF is focused on creating a platform for the international community of dealers, collectors, and vendors. The exhibition features over 280 prestigious dealers from 20 countries, bringing together the finest art, antiques and design works currently on the market. The majority of the fair is dedicated to the classics, with traditional areas of Old Master paintings and antiques, but visitors will also be able to discover modern and contemporary art, photography, jewellery, 20th century designs and works on paper.
Not only a central venue for the art trade, TEFAF Maastricht offers its participants the opportunity to engage in thoughtful debates and provocative conversations about the issues in the art world. The Cultural Programme features insights from art professionals on key topics that cross disciplines and genres. The programme will be live streamed and archived online. TEFAF also conducts independent research into the market, releasing an annual Market Report, which has become an industry benchmark.
