The Internationale Grüne Woche in Berlin is the largest trade fair for the food, agriculture and horticulture industries. All of the show’s recent editions have attracted no less than 400,000 trade visitors and members of the general public. Unfortunately, the circumstances of the coronavirus pandemic have led to a drastic shift in the format for the upcoming Internationale Grüne Woche 2021. IGW 2021 will run over only two days - 20 and 21 January 2021 - as an exclusive digital B2B event with the slogan “Rooting for Tomorrow”.
The huge popularity of the event, as well as the fact that it takes place in Berlin, a renowned trade fair location, make IGW the perfect test market for new products and trends. The focus of the special IGW 2021 edition will be on creating a platform for professionals to exchange views regarding the food and farming industries. Among the main topics will be food security, regional produce and the challenges facing global food supplies.
The programme will feature live and on-demand videos from the assorted Internationale Grüne Woche 2021 stages, as well as a virtual marketplace and networking tools. The Global Forum for Food and Agriculture, now in a fully digital format, will also be part of the IGW programme, running on 18-22 January.
