In August, the worldwide gaming community comes together to celebrate the industry and its latest advancements. After a grand success for its first fully digital edition, gamescom 2021 will once again be held online between 23 – 27 August. The revamped digital format will once again be free of charge and feature even more games and reach as well as a heightened community atmosphere.
The exhibition features the latest in electronic entertainment, including software and hardware, gaming accessories, merchandise and more. Top offerings from independent developers can be found at the Indie Village, while the Retro Area will showcase popular old games and consoles. Whether in person in Cologne or online, attendees will be able to see official announcements by prominent publishers and trailers for the most anticipated games at gamescom: Opening Night Live.
Throughout the duration of the show, there will also be demonstrations, E-sports tournaments and special events, which will offer a plethora of chances to experience the latest on the market and meet with key figures in gaming. The devcom event will offer two days of networking, business and educational initiatives for professionals, while the gamescom congress will once again feature insights on the untapped potential of video games.
