Art Brussels is one of the most famous European platforms for contemporary art. The 38th edition of the show has unfortunately been postponed for the second consecutive year due to the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of the regular show format, Art Brussels 2021 will offer a special edition that celebrates contemporary art both online and offline. Between 2 - 14 June 2021, with a VIP Preview day on 1 June, Art Brussels Week will host its online viewing rooms. Meanwhile, the dates 3 - 6 June 2021 will feature an offline contemporary gallery art tour.
Over 25,000 artists, collectors, curators, other professionals and art lovers attend the four days of Art Brussels. The exhibition features more than 160 galleries and unfolds in four distinct sections, aligned to the fair’s profile. Young and emerging artists can make their debut in Discovery, while well-known and established industry names occupy the Prime section. Rediscovery aims to highlight works and artists from the 20th century that are under-recognised or forgotten and features opportunities for SOLO presentations. The INVITED section, which debuted in its last edition, will also return to Art Brussels 2021 to showcase galleries that challenge the traditional model. In addition to the gallery presentations, there is a diverse supporting programme, enriching the vibrant and inspirational atmosphere of the show.
