The World Expo exhibition series are large scale, six months long gatherings of nations committed to finding solutions to urgent global complex issues facing society. Japan has been elected to host the next World Expo Osaka Kansai 2025 edition in its state-of-the-art artificial island Yumeshima accessible from the waterfront of Osaka. Themed Designing Future Society for Our Lives, World Expo Osaka 2025 will welcome the international community between 13th April and 13th October to the 1.55 sq km site – Yumeshima.
World Expo Osaka Kansai 2025 is set out to draw a vision of the society of the future that has achieved the Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the United Nations and define Japan’s strategy to create Society 5.0. The largest trade fair in the world will illuminate each participating country’s contributions to reaching the SDGs by showcasing their achievements and future-adapted prototypes in the areas of Digital Society, AI, Robotics, IoT and Big Data.
