Change in dates: Due to the current Covid-19 situation Light + Building originally scheduled in mid-March has been postponed. New dates: 2 - 6 October 2022.
Light + Building 2022 will mark a strong return focusing on the most innovative building and lighting industry topics. The autumn edition of the fair will be held from 2 to 6 October 2022 at Messe Frankfurt, after a prolonged pause due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As usual, visitors will be able to take in a comprehensive assortment of lighting products and technologies, a wide range of integrated and electrical installation products, as well as cutting edge home and building automation solutions.
The biennial Light + Building show is a benchmark event in lighting, electrical engineering and building services. The trade fair is a meeting spot for professionals from Germany and worldwide. The show hosts seminars and exhibitors with a wide selection of products and services and promotes business networking.
Over 220,000 visitors will attend Light + Building 2022 in Frankfurt. With various supporting events, the trade fair will accentuate prevalent themes for the future of the lighting and building industry, such as climate protection, electromobility and digitalisation. Special shows and meetings will be divided into four areas: Emotion, Selection, Skills and Career. Intersec Building, an integral part of the international Light + Building 2022 fair, will once again offer a holistic platform for connected safety and security technologies in building automation. The new Light + Building Digital Extension, a virtual business matchmaking platform, will be available for use for attendees during the six days of the exhibition show.
Light + Building involves a larger international audience with each passing edition. The latest statistics show that 70% of all exhibiting companies and 52% of the trade professionals in attendance come to Messe Frankfurt from abroad.
China is especially well represented in terms of visitors, followed by EU countries like Italy, the Netherlands, France and Belgium. Many professionals come to Light+Building Frankfurt from the United Kingdom and Switzerland as well. Moreover, the number of visitors from Russia, India, Ukraine and Korea increases.
Due to travel and health concerns in regard to the coronavirus outbreak, the event organisers made the decision to cancel the 2020 event and hold the next edition of Light + Building in 2022, as per the original schedule.
On 13-18 March 2022 Light + Building will demonstrate yet unseen superb products and solutions related to lighting, electrical engineering and building automation. They will be presented by over 2700 leading and start-up companies. More than 220,000 professionals will join them at Messe Frankfurt for 6 days of new discoveries, meetings and expert lectures.
