The annual jazzahead! in Bremen is the premier event for the international jazz industry. After the coronavirus pandemic seriously disrupted the fair’s schedule over the past two years, the jazzahead! 2022 dates – 28 April to 1 May – will mark a return to the halls of Messe Bremen, where all the protagonists on the German and global jazz scene will gather for a must-attend meeting that incorporates trade fair, festival and conference.

Considered the “Familiy Reunion of Jazz”, jazzahead! Bremen brings together musicians, labels, agencies, festival makers, bookers and media representatives for four days replete with opportunities to connect with peers, discover new talent and enjoy outstanding performances that encapsulate the spirit of the genre. Over 200 jazzahead! 2022 exhibitors will meet with more than 3,500 music professionals and 20,000 members of the pubic. Supporting the exhibition will be the Showcases event, which will feature performances by some of the most popular names in jazz as well as introductions by up-and-coming artists.

The 16th jazzahead! appointment will also include the presentation of Canada as partner country. The first overseas partner of the expo will participate in the Festival through performances, dance theatre, movie nights and more in a city-wide cultural programme. At the closing weekend, the GALA CONCERT will conclude the schedule.
