The publishing industry has its universal platform - the long-established Frankfurter Buchmesse. Known as Frankfurt Book Fair to its international and multicultural audiences, the event is where professionals discuss ideas, find new trends and content, expand their network and knowledge regarding the novelties in the sector. From 16 to 20 October Frankfurter Buchmesse 2019 will welcome over 7500 exhibiting companies and 285,000 visitors. With the increasing focus on international markets in the last few years, it is estimated that the diversity at the next book fair in 2019 will reach new heights.
What is new for Frankfurter Buchmesse 2019
Everyone attending Frankfurt Book Fair 2019 will have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of Norway’s rich culture and literature. As Frankfurter Buchmesse’s guest of honour in 2019, Norway will transform the trade fair. A pavilion and attractive programme will be available for participants to get acquainted with Norwegian contemporary authors and their works in all genres. The broader topics will range from new voices, storytelling in times of change, Norwegian golden age and the country’s literary system and mixed market economy.
The initiative will be supported by both German and Norwegian culture institutions. Publishers, agents, authors and translators will also be involved, making Frankfurter Buchmesse 2019 an edition to remember.
