The European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) – the biggest European organisation dedicated to nuclear medicine – will host the 34th edition of its annual congress between 20 – 23 October 2021. EANM 2021 will mark the second time that the congress is held in a virtual format due to the continuing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
EANM welcomes over 6,000 medical professionals for four days of networking and fruitful discussions of the latest trends and findings in the field. The 2021 appointment will also include two pre-congress symposia sessions, which will take place between 4 - 6 October and 11 - 13 October.
Each edition of the congress receives over 2,000 abstract applications and features over 150 seminar sessions, asserting its place as a central platform for the development of nuclear medicine. More than a purely academic forum, EANM also welcomes close to 200 exhibitors who present cutting-edge technological applications in the field, as well as the latest achievements in pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals. Additional initiatives and events round out the EANM programme. There are the Young Day Forum and the Technologist Committee, offering education of the highest quality and opportunities for young professionals. Accolades like the Marie Curie Award distinguish academic excellence.
