BAU is the number-one trade fair in its segment, encompassing all matters related to architecture, building materials and systems. Following an especially successful edition, BAU 2021 Munich will bring a further insight into the building industry’s digital future. However, due to the continued risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, the fair will run in a fully virtual format - BAU ONLINE, which will be held between 13 - 15 January 2021.
BAU is a benchmark for the industry and provides an overview of the key directions for its development. In 2021 the four main guiding topics will be “Digital Transformation”, “The Challenge of Climate Change”, “Resources & Recycling” and “Homes of the Future”. Visitors can expect to find cutting-edge solutions corresponding to these issues at the exhibition and hear related discussions on an expert level during the forum programme. The exhibition will focus on components, project planning, solar panels, construction planning, flooring, insulation materials, interior design and architectural services. A special topic for BAU 2021 will be the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the construction industry, especially in the area of digitalisation.
