ACM Integration Design and Children (IDC) Conference 2023

The organisers have officially confirmed the dates for the 22nd annual ACM Interaction Design and Children (IDC) Conference 2023. Researchers, educators and practitioners will gather at Northwestern University in Chicago from 19 to 23 June 2023.

IDC 2023 will invite participants to “rediscover childhood”. The theme will cover important questions about what it is like being a child or adolescent in the middle decades of the 21st century and provide adults with innovative solutions for a more sustainable and equitable future for the next generation. The IDC 2023 theme will allow the community to take a meditative and generative outlook on children’s technology, including mobile, virtual and mixed reality.

The conference will consist of informative lectures and discussions covering various areas of interest. Professionals will present and further discuss methods and techniques that support interaction design for and with children, ethics in approaching children-computer interaction research, and trends and directions for the field. The IDC 2023 programme will also host various practical and educational workshops, courses, and special features like the Demo & Art Track and the Research & Design Challenge.
