MUNICH FABRIC START 2020 has unfortunately been cancelled due to concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic. The event will be replaced by FABRIC DAYS a special business format containing only the essentials and meant to support the industry during this difficult period. FABRIC DAYS will run on the same dates - 1 to 3 September 2020.
MUNICH FABRIC START is a premier international trade fair for the textile and fabrics sectors. Held twice a year, each edition captures the hottest trends for the upcoming season. Exhibitors at MUNICH FABRIC START Autumn 2020 run the entire value chain, as over 2,000 fabric collections range from basic to haute couture. Silks, linen, coatings, buttons, lace, leather, fleece, fur imitations and organic materials make up a small part of the display groups.
MUNICH FABRIC START plays a leading role in defining the future of textiles. A highly specialised programme of side events supports the trade fair throughout its duration. Numerous keynote speeches and lectures led by experts provide insights on current hot topics, trends and future industry directions such as communication, sustainability and digitalisation and technology. Fashion pioneers will discuss the possible applications of big data, artificial and amplified intelligence for the future of the industry. The HighTex Award will honour outstanding achievements in innovative and sustainable product development.
