Founded in 1959, Marché du Film has a history of concentrating the most prominent and rising stars in the film industry alongside Cannes Film Festival. Strictly professional, the fest welcomes only current professionals in the film and entertainment industry. Through a series of premiere screenings, formal and cocktail networking activities and a showcase with original work-in-progress, Marché du Film 2023 will define the trends for the upcoming motion picture season. Currently, the film portfolio is spread over 33 screens across which producers, distributors, sales agents, buyers and festival representatives will connect, foster creative partnerships and make deals. Over 200 supporting events will fill the screentime in-betweens. Marché du Film 2023 features projects, works in progress and genre-specific pitching sessions at Frontiers. Conceptualised to distinguish different genres accordingly, the expo presents a dedicated Cannes Docs stage with a customised programme exclusively for the feature documentary film professionals and decision-makers.

The event was great but in my humble oppinion too busy and not enough depth. At the first day I spent nealry 2 hours just to enter the venue and was not able to see the opening.
