The world's most spectacular film industry event - Marché du Film is back in Cannes between 17th and 25th May 2022. Over 12 500 cinema sector participants will join in person at Palais des Festivals et des Congres to ensure the continuous growth of the film industry.
Marché du Film was founded in 1959 alongside the Cannes Film Festival. Since then has been responsible for developing and adapting the film industry to the emerging technological and creative trends in the sector. The trade fair part of the Cannes Film Festival has grown to include 33 screens venues across which producers, distributors, sales agents, buyers and festival representatives will connect, foster creative partnerships and make deals.
The supporting programme at Marché du Film 2022 will realise over 200 events including projects, works-in-progress and the genre-specific pitching sessions at Frontiers. I found Expobeds service easy to use and helpful, and I appreciated the personal touch of being contacted directly with reminders of deadlines and the like. I don't have any criticism to offer. I stayed at the Maritim Hotel Frankfurt. It was appropriate - it's proximity to the Messe Grounds was very valuable, and the room I booked met my needs. It's a tiny bit far away from other interesting things to do in Frankfurt, but that's an adequate trade off for its proximity to the Messe.
