The 101st Deutsche Röntgenkongress in Leipzig will run from 20 to 23 May 2020. The 175th birthday of the eponym Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen and the discovery of X-rays 125 years ago are two reasons for attendees to celebrate at the upcoming post anniversary edition.
In 2020, the German X-Ray Congress will be held under the motto New Insights. With this in mind, the focus will be placed on safety in radiology, artificial intelligence, emergency radiology and interventional oncology. As for AI in radiology, researchers will pay close attention to ethical aspects and medical-legal considerations. RöKo 2020 will focus on radiation protection, patient safety and training, process optimisation, guideline-compliant work and staff management and qualification. Formats centred around emergency radiology will cover polytrauma management, intensive and interdisciplinary diagnostics. The Intervention Day will be dedicated to interventional therapy in oncology. The Forum Young Radiology will present numerous formats of its own. Additional case-related courses will be offered, participants can try out new fun forms of learning and attend informal forums outside the lecture halls.
